2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LTZ- The Vision /From a Childhood Sight to the Adult Realization

As a very young boy, Brian Hickman would take his Tonka trucks, remove the wheels and tires, and add larger mud tires and wheels to make it a monster truck. For 27-year-old Hickman of Alexandria, Louisiana, that sparked his passion for lifted trucks. He also grew up around friends who went to truck shows, which only increased his intense desire to own a truck like the ones at the show.

Hickman went to his local dealership and was able to track down the perfect truck to start his customized journey. Purchased out of Illinois, Brian received his ’15 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LTZ in Blue Topaz, a color only released during the first six months of production. The first step was giving the Chevy a bit more power. Hickman’s good friend Michael Vallery, who owns Six Pack, one of the baddest dually’s around, which was featured on the cover of Truckin, gave him tips on installing a programmer and air intake on his Silverado.

The next step was the lift. Hickman and Vallery added the 12-inch lift to bring the Chevy closer to the sky. Hickman had the Silverado outfitted with a mean set of American Force Wheels for better looks and handling. The bedliner and all plastic pieces were sprayed by Trey Cooley to give the truck a clean appearance. For the body, Amp Research steps were added for easier access to the newly lifted body and a T-Rex grille for a more aggressive look.

Hickman has the rare talent and expertise to handle most of the install himself along with his friend Vallery, but he wishes to thank Nick Chin and the American Force Wheels crew for their customer service, Cognito Motor Sports, Interco, T-Rex, ZRoadz Lights, FASS Fuel Systems, Iron Cross bumpers, SoCal Diesel, AFE Power, Kicker, Bedslide, Retrax, Deaver Suspension, AMP Research, Amsoil, PPEI, Trey Cooley, Lance Melder, Justin Johnson, and Rory Griffith. Their products and help all came together and made Hickman’s vision come to fruition.
